The University of Benin has taken another giant step in its academic curricular, introducing electronic education programme, otherwise known as e-DON(e-Class Linkages) learning. This makes UNIBEN the first university in Nigeria to commence electronic education programme initiative. UNIBEN, the first university in Nigeria to commence such educational programme, is partnering with Lincoln University, USA, with 80 students drawn from the Faculty of Agriculture and Botany of the institution in a direct lecture and interaction with lecturers of Lincoln University. The e-DON Programme Coordinator, Idonuagbe Akogun, who is also the facilitator of the electronic education initiative, said the programme was set up to create and sustain international linkages between developed countries and developing ones through their institutions of learning.
