Dr. Dre opens up about Michel’le’s abuse allegations

Earlier this year, “R&B Divas LA” star Michel’le caused quite the media stir when she opened up, once again, about her accusations that her former husband, Dr. Dre, violently beat her and attacked her on several occasions during their marriage. For years, Dre has remained mum about the abuse allegations, but he recently spoke with Rolling Stone about his dark past and shared his side of the story on the claims.
As previously reported, Michel’le claimed that it was public knowledge that she was in an abusive relationship with Dre.
“I had five black eyes. I have a cracked rib. I have scars that are just amazing,” Michel’le told Vlad TV.
Michel’le also claimed that the attacks became so violent that Dre even tried to shoot her.
“I was getting dragged on the floor, shot at,” Michel’le said. “One night we was [sic] arguing. He went and got the gun. And I just made it through the bathroom door and the shot — and he shot at me and he missed me by that much. He almost hit [me]. He shot at me … I left the bullet in the hole and it went out — it was in the door and then it went through the side of the wall in the bathroom. And I left it there for a while, just so he could see it. But he never tried to shoot me anymore. Thank God. But the beatings were — [there were] a lot …”
In Dre’s new feature in Rolling Stone, he finally opens up about Michel’le’s claims, as well as his high-profile 1991 attack on TV personality Dee Barnes.
“I made some f—— horrible mistakes in my life. I was young, f—— stupid. I would say all the allegations aren’t true — some of them are. Those are some of the things that I would like to take back. It was really f—– up. But I paid for those mistakes, and there’s no way in hell that I will ever make another mistake like that again,” Dre said.
Well, it’s indisputable now that at least some of what Michel’le has said is true. Although, after Dre smacked Dee Barnes, it seemed like many people already believed Michel’le’s claims. We’re just glad that Michel’le isn’t taking any abuse anymore. Unfortunately, Dre won’t face justice for the abuse he alluded to, but we at least hope that he is no longer stuck in that cycle of violence and that no one else suffered at his hands.
